INSTALLATION
Deck-mounted models (Fig. A) :
Drill a hole from Ø 36mm (min.) to Ø 37mm (max.) then tighten the 2 screws onto the fixing flange a.
•
Ensure a suitable waterproof seal between the mixer and the work surface appropriate to the type
of installation.
Do not remove the non-return valves b incorporated in the water supply pipes (supplied).
•
Install the filters supplied c (filters and flow rate limiters for ref. H9716), as shown in the diagram.
•
These will protect the installation. Do not install additional filters.
Balance the hot and cold water pressure (ΔP<1 bar). Recommended pressure 3 bar.
•
Maximum pressure: 10 bar. Take care not to pinch the flexibles* (Fig. B).
Mounting the spout (Fig. C) :
H9716/H9726: Remove the protective cap and insert the spout in its slot. Remember to include
•
the flow rate limiter and waterproof seal (for washbasin models).
REMEMBER
Our mixers must be installed by professional installers in accordance with current regulations
•
and recommendations in your country, and the specifications of the fluid engineer.
Sizing the pipes correctly will avoid problems of flow rate, pressure loss and water hammer
•
(see calculation table in our brochure and online at www.delabie.com).
Protect the installation with filters, water hammer absorbers and pressure reducers to reduce
•
the frequency of maintenance (recommended pressure from 1 to 5 bar maximum).
Install stopcocks close to the mixer to facilitate maintenance.
•
The pipework, filters, non-return valves, stopcocks, bib taps, cartridge and all sanitary fittings should
•
be checked at least once a year, and more frequently if necessary..
GENERAL FEATURES & TECHNICAL INFORMATION
General Features:
In the event of a sudden loss of the cold water supply, and the mixed water temperature selected
•
is less than 42°C, the hot water supply will be cut-off (within 2 seconds). Filters and non-return valves
at the mixer inlets protect the thermostat and prevent any back-flow into the system.
Technical Information:
The factory pre-set is 38°C, with a temperature range of 50°C between the cold and hot water.
•
Temperature range for water up to 41°C. First temperature limiter set to 38°C (can be overridden).
•
It is possible to have water: at 41°C by pressing the button on the control knob (Fig. E).
Maximum hot water temperature: 90°C.
•
Min./max. pressure: 1 to 5 bar (recommended 3 bar). Difference in pressure at inlets: max. 1bar.
•
Safety: the hot water supply will shut off if the cold water supply fails. The hot water failsafe is active
•
if the hot and mixed water differential is greater than 15°C.
Temperature adjustment control is on the left and the flow-rate control is on the right.
•
Washbasin flow rate: regulated at 5 lpm. Sink flow rate: regulated at 9 lpm.
•
TEMPERATURE CALIBRATION (Fig. D)
Our mixers are pre-set at the factory under 3 bar pressure, with balanced hot and cold water supply,
and hot water supply 65°C +/- 5°C and cold water supply at 15°C +/-5°C.
If the conditions of use are different, the mixed water temperature may differ from the temperature shown
on the control lever (38°C). To adjust to the correct temperature:
Open the water supply and measure the temperature using a digital thermometer .
•
Unscrew the screw part way using a 2.5mm Allen key and remove the control knob.
•
Turn the valve spindle to the right to increase the temperature and to the left to lower it
•
(15° of rotation for 1°C of temperature).
Replace the control knob and check that the temperature stop does not exceed 40°C.
