GENERAL INFORMATION
IMPORTANT
Read these instruction carefully prior to
use. Familiarise yourself with the appli-
ance before connecting it to the power
outlet. Keep these instructions for future
reference.

parts are in place and the barbecue was
assembled according to the assembly in-
structions.

Do not operate the unit if there is any sign
of damage to the unit or its power cord.
FOR YOUR SAFETY
Failure to comply with these instructions could result in a
fire or explosion which could cause serious bodily injury,
death or property damage. CAUTION: Accessible parts
may be very hot. Keep young children away. DO NOT
modify this appliance.
Parts sealed by the manufacturer or their agent must not
be manipulated by the user.
• If this information is not followed exactly a fire causing
death or serious injury may occur.
• DO NOT USE ADAPTERS.
• Only use in well ventilated areas.
Protect Children
• Keep children away from barbecue during use and un-
til barbecue has cooled after you have finished. Do not
allow children to operate barbecue.
• Always ensure that no sporting or physical activities
are carried out in close proximity to the barbecue dur-
ing use and while still hot.
Installation and Assembly:
• Wear proper safety clothing when assembling the BBQ
• Follow the assembly instructions as stated in this manual.
• Take care to avoid unnecessary twisting of the pow-
er cable.
• Keep electrical connections dry.
• Make sure the power cable is not tangled up or dam-
aged. Do not use the appliance if the power cable

shows any sign of damage.
• Always ensure the barbecue is kept away from flam-
mable materials.
• Make sure to place the BBQ on a level plane, with a
sufficiently strong surface to insure maximum stability
Electrical safety:
• The fuse must be a residual current circuit breaker
with a measured residual current of no more than 30
mA
• The device may only be connected to a socket that is
correctly installed and grounded
• Do not touch the mains plug with wet hands! Always
pull out the mains plug at the plug and not by the
cable.
• Handle the power cable with care. Do not bend,
crush, pull or drive over the power cable, protect
from sharp edges, oil and heat
• Do not lift the device using the cable or use the cable
for purposes other than intended.
• Check the plug and cable before each use.
• It the power cable is damaged immediately discon-
nect the plug. Never use the device if the power ca-
ble is damaged.
• Make sure the device is unplugged when not in use.
• Make sure that the device is switched off before
plugging it in the circuit.
Extension cords:
• If it is necessary to use an extension cord, make sure
to use an appropriate cord that is suitable for out-
door use. Always use an earthed plug.
• Examine the extension cord for damage before use.
• Do not use an extension cord that does not have an
earthed (grounded) plug.
• When using long extension cords, make sure to fully
unwind the extension cord before using it.
• Do not leave an extension cord wound up in its hous-
ing when using the 'Balcone BBQ'.
• Make sure to follow local laws and regulations before
using this appliance.
