Ice Transport System Operation
CART DRAIN OPERATION
1. Position cart all the way into bay.
2. Turn drain handle 1/4 turn to open drain and remove
melt water, then close drain.
LOADING ICE INTO CART
1. Pull guillotine door forward to dispense ice.
2. Push guillotine door back to stop dispensing ice.
Breaking Ice Bridges

Break away areas that are supporting the bridged ice.
Ice above will fall when the support collapses. A falling
ice bridge can cause the paddle handle to rise upward
rapidly. Keep head and face away from paddle handle
to avoid injury. Do not attempt to break up bridged ice
through the guillotine door.
It may be necessary to use the paddle to break up ice bridges
that occur along the sides and in the middle of the bin. This
often happens if ice has been held in storage for a period of
time without use. Use supplied paddle accessory to break up
bridges.
1. Completely knock down all ice from the sides, back and
middle of the bin.
2. Agitate the paddle back and forth to break up any
congealed ice.

Wear rubber gloves and safety goggles (and/or face
shield) when handling Ice Machine Cleaner/Descaler or
Sanitizer.
Cleaning Exterior of Bin
Exterior stainless steel surfaces can be cleaned with a mild
soap and water solution or a stainless steel cleaner and
polish.
Cleaning and Sanitizing Bin Interior
Interior of bin must be sanitized prior to use and on a routine
basis during use. The ice storage bin interior walls must be
descaled and sanitized every six months with Manitowoc Ice
Machine Cleaner/Descaler and Sanitizer.
1. Mix a solution of cleaner/descaler and warm water.
Depending upon the amount of mineral buildup, a larger
quantity of solution may be required. Use the ratio in
the table below to mix enough solution to thoroughly
descale all parts

2. Wash all interior bin surfaces access doors, guillotine
assembly and drain pans, then rinse all areas thoroughly
with clean water.
NOTE: Guillotine assembly can be removed to provide easier
access to clean/sanitize the guillotine slide rails.
