Installation
STEP 2:
(continued)
J. For wood stud construction, make a small
pencil mark where you want the top-center of
the television to go. Because the hook of the
wall bracket can slide left and right, you have
some flexibility.
K. Mark the top screw height. Measure down
from the Top Center Mark by the Top Screw
Distance (Line 3 in your calculation on the
previous page) and make another pencil
mark on the wall.
L Use a carpenter's level to draw a horizontal
line on the wall nine inches to the left and
right of top screw height pencil mark.
M. Remove the left and right caps of the wall
bracket (A).
N. For wood stud construction, mark where
the line crosses the center of your studs.
Those are your top screw marks. Align the
top screw slots of the wall bracket (A) with
the top screw marks on the wall. Mark the
bottom screw locations directly underneath
the top screws.
O. For masonry walls, align the top screw
slots of the wall bracket (A) with the line on
the wall. Mark any place in the left and right
screw slots for your top and bottom screws.
STEP 3
(CONTINUED)
STEP 3:
Attach the wall bracket to the wall
A. Locate the screw location marks you
made on the wall.
B. For concrete walls, perform the following steps:
a. Attach the 1/2-inch masonry bit
to your electric drill (hammer drill
recommended) and drill holes two
inches (64 mm) deep.
b. Set the concrete anchors (Q) into the
holes.
C. For wood stud construction, attach the
1/8-inch wood bit to your electric drill and drill
holes two inches (64 mm) deep.
D. For all walls, attach the #2 Phillips head
driver bit to your electric drill.
E. Align the wall bracket with the screw holes.
F. Insert the lag bolts (P) through the holes in
the wall bracket and into the wall.
G. Use your electric drill to screw in the lag
bolts to firmly attach the wall bracket to the
wall. For wood stud construction, you will
be screwing the lag bolts into the studs. For
concrete walls, you will be screwing the lag
bolts into the anchors. Be careful not to over-
tighten the lag bolts.
H. Replace the left and right caps on the wall
bracket.
