User's Instruction –
Rotating Lifting Point (RLP)
Product Description
RLP is intended to be used as a Lifting point, Lashing point or Pulling atta-
chment. RLP is made from high strength material which gives higher load
capacity and increased safety compared to standard DIN 580 eyebolts.
The patented design solution allows insertion of a masterlink or hook into
the RLP to allow simple use with large crane hooks (1).
RLP can rotate 360° and articulate 180° (2) to ensure safe force distribu-
tion and can preferably be used together with multi-leg slings (3).
Mounting/User's instruction
1)
Use only original bolts supplied by Gunnebo.
2)
RLP shall be mounted on a clean and even supporting area having
min diameter D = width of bow W (4).
3)
The threaded hole shall be perpendicular to the surface.
4)
Threaded pocket holes need to be deep enough, allowing the bolt
to fully engage.
5)
Thread depth needs to be at least:
1 x d
for steel (at least St 37)
1,25 x d
for cast iron
2 x d
for aluminium alloy
6)
To prevent unintended dismounting through shock loading,
rotation or vibration thread locking fluid such as Loctite 2701
could be used to secure the bolt.
7)
Recommended tightening torque:
RLP-M08-10
30 Nm
RLP-M10-10
50 Nm
RLP-M12-10
70 Nm
RLP-M16-10
100 Nm
RLP-M20-10
170 Nm
Maximum deviation of the tightening torque for all
RLP models: +/–10 %.
8)
Make sure RLP can rotate 360° and articulate 180° without
interfearing with other parts.
9)
Do not lift with larger hook than RLP can accomodate.
10) Do not overload or shock load. Check WLL chart before use.
11) Do not use in acidic or alcaline environment.
12) Extreme temperature condition
Temperature of RLP
–40°C to +200°C
+200°C to +300°C
+300°C to +400°C
Above 400°C
Upon return to normal temperature the RLP reverts to its full capacity.
RLP should not be used above or below these temperature limits.

Note: WLL above is valid for symmetrical loading.
In case of assymetrical loading we recommend the following loading:
2-leg as corresponding 1-leg.
3- or 4-leg as corresponding 2-leg.
Daily inspection
RLP shall be checked prior to each use regarding bolt torque, wear,
cracks, damaged parts, deformations and corrosion.
If any defect that could effect safety is detected the RLP must be
adjusted, renewed or thouroughly examined.
Thourough examination
At least once a year thourough examination shall be carried out.
Load bearing parts shall be checked thouroughly for wear, cracks,
damaged parts, deformations and corrosion.
Wear must not exceed 10 % of original dimensions.
If excessive wear, cracks, damaged parts, deformations or severe
corrosion occur the RLP shall be scraped.
Damaged bolts must only be replaced by Gunnebo original parts.
