Maintenance
CAUTION: Isolate the whole system before carrying out any cleaning operations (refer to the 'Isolation' section).
Cleaning
The CMM controller cabinet should be cleaned with a dry, lint-free cloth.
Particular attention should be paid to ensure that the fan vents are clean and free of dust and dirt.
Periodic checks
Periodic electrical tests should be performed on the cabinet by the machine manufacturer or installer of the product. These should include the
following operations:
Electrical safety inspection and tests, including earth bonding
Inspection of cables / conduits entering the cabinet, including mains power cables
Functional test of the CMM system, including limit switches, crash switches, low air or any other fault detection signal
Emergency stop system test
NOTE: It is the user's responsibility to define how regular these checks need to be performed in order to maintain a safe working
environment.
