• Do not place the device over open
wounds, sores, or rashes, nor over swollen,
red, infected or inflamed areas or skin erup-
tions.
• Never place the device on hot surfaces or
near heat sources or open fire.
• Check the condition of the batteries on a
regular basis. Leaking batteries can dam-
age the device. If the batteries have leaked,
use protective gloves and take the follow-
ing precautions:
» Do not touch the battery with your bare
hands.
» Do not rub your eyes. The battery fluid
may cause blindness if it comes into con-
tact with your eyes. Wash immediately
with clean water and consult a physician.
» The battery fluid may cause inflamma-
tion or injury if it comes into contact with
the skin or clothes. Wash it off thoroughly
with clean water and consult a physician.
