Set-down protection and tip claw,
DCN 4590
The set-down protection, which is attached to
the front side of the workpiece contact, prevents
damage and pressure marks when working with
softer woods.
CAUTION !
Risk of injury or material damage
¾ Remove or replace the set-down
protection only when the nailer is
disconnected from the compressed
air supply.
The tip claw prevents slipping if the fasteners must
be driven in with the nailer at an angle.
Rotating air outlet (fig. I)
The rotating air outlet [1] allows the operator to
turn the exhaust air router in any desired direction.
Magazine adapter, DCN 4590
(fig. III):
The magazine adapter [5] is installed in the mid-
dle of the magazine [4] and makes it possible for
the user to make a quick changeover to other sizes
of the fasteners being used.
Pull and turn to match the magazine to the fasten-
ers being used.
Load the nailer with fasteners
WARNING!
Risk of injury
¾ The muzzle of the nailer must point
away from the operator.
Note
Use only fasteners recommended for
use with this nailer.

Press the lock and open the magazine [4].
If necessary, adapt the magazine to the fas-
teners to be used with the magazine adapter
[5].
Place the roll with the fasteners into the
magazine. Push the first fastener of the roll
completely to the front.

Close the magazine and check for correct
locking.

Press the lock and open the magazine [4].
Insert fasteners in the magazine.
Close the magazine and check for correct
locking.
Select the trigger mode, DCN 4590

¾ The workpiece contact unit or
trigger must never be fixed in the
trigger position.
This nailer has a selectable trigger mode that can
be set to single trigger (A) or contact trig-
ger (B) mode.
Mode A: Single trigger
Disconnect the nailer from the compressed air
supply.
Press in the swivel pin [6] in the trigger lever
[7].
Turn the swivel pin to the desired position.
Ensure that the swivel pin is securely engaged
so that the nailer works correctly.
Connect the nailer to the compressed air
supply.
Hold the nailer securely by the handle.
Place the nailer on the workpiece surface and
press against the workpiece contact.
Press the trigger.
Before the next trigger action wait until the
work cycle is fully completed.
Mode B: Contact trigger
Contact activation permits very quick, repeating
work cycles.
Press and hold the trigger.
Place the nailer on the workpiece surface and
press against the workpiece contact.
3 The work cycle is executed automatically.
Before the next trigger action wait until the
work cycle is fully completed.
Keep the trigger depressed.
Place the nailer on the workpiece surface in a
new position and press against the workpiece
contact.
3 The next work cycle executes.
