Installation instructions
Install engine pads
Install engine pads (1) as in illustration 1.
Install the sea water filter
1.
Remove the existing hose between the fuel cooler and the sea
water pump.
2.
Install hose (8) on the fuel cooler, using existing hose clamp.
3.
Install hose (7) on the sea water pump, using existing hose
clamp.
4.
Install bracket (6). Use two M8x20 screws (5) and two existing
screws which are on the inlet manifold. Remove the existing
screws.

Install the sea water filter (4) on the bracket (6) using three
M8x20 screws (5). Install the hoses from the fuel cooler and
the sea water pump on the sea water filter. Use hose clamps
(9).
Hose connection to sea water pump
If the engine is equipped with servo steering, hose (A) to oil
cooler (B) must be installed as in illustration 1. Components A,
B and C are included in servo pump kits 3584241 and 3584242.
If the engine is not equipped with servo steering, the hose be-
tween the sea water pump and the shield must be acquired by
the boat builder. This hose is not included in kits nos. 3589709
and 3589710.
IMPORTANT!
The hose must be the wet exhaust pipe type. This
means that it must be able to withstand temperatures of
up to 100°C and vacuum down to –50 kPa. Alternative-
ly, the hose must comply with the ISO 13363.2 or SAE
J200R2 DN standards.
Electrical installation
1.
Connect engine cable harness (10) as in illustration 1.
2.
Connect power trim pump (D) to the starter motor as in
illustration 1.
3.
Install circuit breakers (11-15) and connect the power trim
pump to the circuit breaker as in illustration 1.
Install the hydraulic hoses for the steering system
Install hydraulic hoses (16-17) for the steering system as in il-
lustration 1. Also refer to the installation instruction for the servo
pump kit, publ. no. 7742732.
Install the coupling and protective cover
Install the coupling (18-21) and protective cover (22-26) as in
illustration 2.
Install the hoses and pipes for the sea water outlet
Install the hoses and pipes for the sea water outlet (27-36) as
in illustration 2.
