Do not remove any tool control elements (e.g.
trigger, contact arm), do not modify them and
do not render them inoperative in any other
way.
Do not use the tool, if a part that belongs to the
tool control elements (e.g. trigger, contact arm),
is not operational, is disconnected, has been
modified or is not working correctly.
Always assume that the tool contains fasteners.
Only activate the tool when it is firmly against
the workpiece.
Respect the tool as working equipment.
Do not play around with the tool.
Remain alert, concentrate on the work and
apply common sense when working with the
tools.
Do not use the tool if you are tired,
have consumed drugs or alcohol or are under
the influence of medicines.
Do not drive fasteners in above other fas-
teners. This could result in the fasteners being
deflected leading to injuries.
After driving in a fastener, the tool may jump
back ("recoil"), which means it moves away
from the working surface. To reduce the risk of
injury, you should always be prepared for a
recoil in the following way:
• Always maintain control over the tool.
• Allow for the recoil in a controlled manner,
so that the tool can move away from the
working. surface.
• Keep your face and other body parts away
from the tool openings.
Take care when working near to the edge of a
working surface or at steep angles to prevent
ricocheting of fasteners, spalling, splintering or
flying apart, all of which could lead to injuries.
Do not load any fasteners into the tool if one of
the control elements (e.g. trigger, contact arm)
is currently activated.
When fastening roofs or similar inclined
surfaces, start at the bottom part and work
gradually upwards. Working downwards is
hazardous, because you could loose your
footing. Never fire the tool into free space. This
prevents any dangers resulting from fasteners
flying around and excess loading of the tool.
Do not use the tool as a hammer.
This tool may only be used for the intended
purpose.
Safety instructions
If the device is not being used, store in a dry
place away from children.
After using the tool, disconnect the compressed
air supply and store the tool safely, by placing
it on its side. The tool must not be stood up
during storage.
Foreseeable dangers and warnings in respect of
the general use of the tool are described below.
Assess the specific risks that could arise from each
use separately.
Danger of projectile parts
In the following situations, remove the com-
pressed air supply:
• None-use;
• Performance of maintenance or repairs;
• Clearance of a jam;
• Lifting, lowering or other such movements of
the tool to a new location;
• The tool is outside the supervision or control
of the operator;
• Adjustments are being made;
• Removal of fasteners from the magazine; or
• Changing/replacement of accessories
During operation, ensure that the fasteners
penetrate the material correctly and cannot be
fired/deflected in the direction of the operator
and/or other people.
Deposits can be given off from the workpiece
and the fastener/magazine system during
operation. Look out for such deposits.
When operating the tool, always wear
impact-resistant safety glasses with side
protection. The risks for other persons must be
assessed by the operator.
Take care when using tools without a contact
arm, as these can be unintentionally fired
resulting in injury to the operator and/or
bystanders.
Ensure that the tool is always securely against
the workpiece and cannot slide.
Dangers during operation
Hold the tool firmly and be ready to counteract
both normal and sudden movements, e.g.
recoils.
Always maintain a balanced posture and
secure footing.
