4.1 Setup Hard Drive Encryption and Partition
CAUTION
Before setup the hard drive encryption, all the existing partition should be deleted. Please backup all
the files in the hard drive before setup.
Please partition and format on the correct hard drive (HDD in TS01B), otherwise you may delete all
the system files and could not start the operating system.
4.1.1 In Windows Vista/XP/2000 Operating System
4.1.1.1 Setup Hard Drive Encryption
Please connect TS01B external drive to the computer by enclosed USB cable; the Windows system
will detect the RFID device automatically.
The TS01B external drive will give off three-short and one-long beep sounds and the LCD indicator
will flash in red.
Take out one of the RFID key and touch it to the back cover with "RFID SECURITY" mark on it. The
TS01B external drive will give off a beep sound and the indicator will flash in green when the RFID
key works.
After the setting procedure is done, please remove the RFID key from the "RFID SECURITY" mark
of the TS01B external drive.
Note : The TS01B external drive will be back in waiting mode if the second RFID key can not be sensed
in three minutes. Please repeat the procedure with the RFID keys all over again if you did not
complete the setup.
