1 - SAFETY WARNINGS

Read the instructions carefully before installation. The design and manufacture of the devices which
make up the product and the information contained in this manual comply with the current safety
standards in force. However, incorrect installation and programming can cause damage to property
and injury to persons who carry out the work and those who use the system. It is, therefore, important
to carefully follow all the instructions given in this manual during installation.
2 - INTRODUCTION TO THE PRODUCT
TOUCH KEYPAD VIA BUS
EGKTB1 is a keypad with touch technology which, when paired with the EGKD2 decoder via 2-wire
PowerBUS technology, allows two NO relays to be controlled. The EGKTB1 keypad has 10 digits (0-9)
and 2 UP
and DOWN
K2 relay. The EGKD2 decoder has two NO contacts, the K1 relay and K2 relay. The factory setting of the
relay is 500 ms, but can be programmed as 2-position (ON-OFF) or timed between 10 ms and 10 min.
The connection between the keypad and the decoder is 2-wire with PowerBUS technology which allows
up to 20 devices to be connected. The access code is the same for all the outputs.
3 - PRELIMINARY CHECKS
WARNING - before installing the product, verify and check the following points:
• Check that the surface on which the device will be fixed is solid and does not vibrate
• Use suitable electrical connections for the current required
• Check that the power supply complies with the values of the technical specifications
• Disconnect the power supply before installing
• Make sure there is a circuit breaker in the power supply system with a distance between the contacts
that allows for total disconnection under the conditions laid down by overvoltage category III
4 - PROGRAMMING
4.1 PAIRING THE KEYPAD WITH THE DECODER
Press and hold the red key on the keypad for 5 seconds
using a paper clip until the keypad turns RED
Immediately press the decoder button briefly, the LED will
turn GREEN and switch off
Wait until the keypad turns GREEN and emits 3 beeps and
the green LED on the decoder will flash steadily. The two
elements are paired
4.2 PAIRING MULTIPLE KEYPADS WITH THE DECODER
Additional keypads can be added at any time, but only after configuring the first Keypad/Decoder pair.
Once added, the additional keypad inherit the number of digits set by the first one. For example, if the first
keypad works with 4 digits, the additional ones will also automatically work with 4 digits, once paired. It is,
therefore, important to set the number of digits to use on the first keypad before pairing additional keypads.
4.3 MASTER CODE TEST
The master code gives access to the programming and deletion of all the codes or a single access code.
