m CAUTION: Always wear heat-resistant barbecue mitts or gloves (conforming to EN 407, Contact Heat
rating level 2 or greater) when handling a hot plancha.
m CAUTION: Do not set a plancha on a combustible surface, glass, or a surface that can be damaged by heat.
m WARNING: Do not remove the plancha until it is cool.
m WARNING: Do not use cooking oil of any kind or quantity in the plancha. Instead, lightly oil food prior to
placing in heated plancha.
m WARNING: Never submerge your plancha in water when it is hot. Thermo-shock can cause damage to the
enamel.
m WARNING: Do not place two planchas side by side.
Failure to follow these DANGER, WARNING, and CAUTION statements may result in serious bodily injury or
death, or may result in a fire or an explosion causing damage to property.
The plancha can break if dropped. Contact Weber customer service if the plancha is damaged or unusable.
Use and Care
Prior to first use: Hand wash the new plancha with mild dishwashing liquid. Dry thoroughly with a soft cloth or
paper towel.
After use: Wait until the plancha is cool. Soak in water to remove stubborn particles and then hand wash with
warm soapy water. Rinse and dry completely. Nylon or soft abrasive pads/brushes may be used. Store inside in
a cool, dry location.
NOTE: Metallic pads/brushes and harsh abrasive soaps can damage the porcelain-enamel finish.
NOTE: Do not strike metal objects against the plancha. Gouging or scraping with sharp metal utensils can cause
damage to the porcelain-enamel surface.
1) Remove the cooking grate from the cookbox.
2) Place plancha in the cookbox.
3) Preheat grill until temperature reaches 204
4) Lightly oil your food before placing in the plancha. Evenly distribute food over plancha surface;
avoid clustering food.
