4. It is recommended that work gloves be used when replacing the blades.
5. Lock the blade disc using hex spanner. Unscrew the two inner hexagonal headed screws and
note the position of the cutting angle of the blade.
6. Remove the blade and rotate it through 180 degrees and fit the blade to the blade disc
ensuring that the ground cutting edge is facing downwards.
7. Repeat this for the other blade.
When both cutting edges of the blade have become worn they must be replaced as a pair. The
blades can be re-sharpened, but this must be done by an experienced person using an oil stone.
We do not recommend this be done as the weight of each blade is critical to maintain the
balance of the cutting disc. Any imbalance could cause damage to the machine and possible
injury to the operator.
• For the best cutting performance at all times, clean and lubricate the blades ate regular
intervals. Remove deposits with a brush and apply a thin film of oil (see Figure 9)
Use bio-degradable oils.
Clean the plastic housing and parts with a mild houdehold detergent and a damp cloth.

Never use aggressive agents or solvents.
• Be particulary careful not to allow any water to get inside the machine.

The shredder and its accessories are made of an assortment of materials, e.g. metal and plastics.
Defective components must be disposed of as special waste. Do not throw in the househols
refuse bin.

7. GUARANTEE
This appliance is guaranteed for a period of 24 months against any manufacturing faults. The
guarantee covers normal operation of the product and does not include faults caused by wear,
incorrect maintenance, tampering with the tool by non specialised persons, improper use, use of
unsuitable accessories, machine overloading, etc. The guarantee is in force if the purchase date
is proven by an invoice, delivery note or tax receipt as justifying evidence.
