buzzer symbol will be displayed. In case the meter is used for conduction measurements, the internal buzzer will emit sound each time
the measured resistance drops below 50 Ω. It is strictly prohibited to test the conduction of live circuits.
Measurements of temperature
Connect the thermoelement leads to the sockets marked as „mA
C" and „COM". Switch the selector of the meter to „
C". Put the ther-
O
O
moelement to the measured object. The thermoelement supplied with the device permits to realise measurements only up to 250
O
C.
In order to measure higher temperatures it is necessary to purchase a thermoelement that permits to measure higher temperatures.
It is required to use thermoelements type K.
Measurements of frequency
Connect the measurement cables to the sockets marked as „VΩHz" and „COM". Use the „FUNC" button to select measurement of fre-
quency. The symbol „Hz" will be displayed. Read the result of the measurement in the display. In case of measurements of frequency,
the voltage of the measured signal should be between 1 V rms and 20 V rms. In case of measurements of a signal whose voltage
exceeds 20 V rms, the precision of the measurement exceeds the range indicated in the table.
Measurement of the pulse-duty factor
Connect the measurement cables to the sockets marked as „VΩHz" and „COM". Use the „FUNC" button to select measurement of the
pulse-duty factor. The symbol „%" will be displayed. Read the result of the measurement in the display. The voltage of the measured
signal should be between 3 Vp-p and 10 Vp-p, and the frequency of the signal must not exceed 10 kHz. If the parameters of the
measured signal exceed the indicated range, the precision exceeds the range indicated in the table.
Vp-p – tension between the peak points of the signal.
Detection of the phase sequence
Switch the selector to
. Connect the crocodile clips to the measurement leads. Connect the measurement cables to the meter in
accordance with the following indications: green conductor to „A", black conductor to „B", red conductor to „C". Connect the crocodile
clips to the terminals of each phase as it is shown in the drawing.
If the symbol „OK ABC" is displayed the sequence of the phases is clockwise (the phase connected to A - the phase connected to
B- the phase connected to C). If the symbol „ABC" is displayed the sequence of the phases is counter-clockwise. In case there is no
signal from any of the phases, then the letter indicating the given phase will not be displayed. For example if the signal of the phase
connected to the terminal „C" is lost, the symbol „AB" will be displayed. Attention! Do not touch unprotected terminals or leads. It may
case an electric shock.
Do not ever use the aforementioned measurement method to determine which of the phase conductors is live. Measurement range:
200 V ÷ 420 V (triple phase source of alternating current). The duration of the measurement must not exceed 60 seconds. For the sake
of safety, do not ever measure circuits whose voltage exceeds 480 V.
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
Clean the meter with a soft cloth. Remove heavy soiling with a damp cloth. Do not submerge the meter in water or any other liquid.
Do not use solvents, caustic or abrasive substances to clean the meter. Make sure the contacts of the meter and the measurement
cables are clean. Clean the terminals of the measurement cables with a cloth slightly soaked with isopropyl alcohol. In order to clean
the contacts of the meter, turn the meter off and remove the battery. Turn the meter round and shake it slightly to remove major impuri-
ties from the contacts of the meter. Soak slightly a cotton swab in isopropyl alcohol and clean each contact. Wait until the alcohol has
evaporated and replace the battery. Store the meter in a dry place in the provided case.
