SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety
precautions should always be observed, including
the following:
1. Read all instructions.
2. To protect against risk of electrical shock, do
not put motor end, cord or plug in water or other
liquid.
3. This appliance is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack
of experience and knowledge, unless they have
been given supervision or instruction concern-
ing use of the appliance by a person responsible
for their safety.
4. Avoid contact with moving parts. Keep hands,
hair and clothing, as well as other utensils away
from blades and out of container during opera-
tion to prevent the possibility of severe injury
to persons and/or damage to the appliance. A
spatula or scraper may be used when the appli-
ance is not in operation.
5. The use of attachments not recommended for
use with this model may cause fire, electric
shock, or injury.
6. When mixing liquids, especially hot liquids, use
a tall container and make several small batches
to avoid spillage.
7. Blades are sharp, handle carefully.
8. Do not use over a stove or other heat source.
WARNING
POLARIZED PLUG
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other.) As a safety feature, this plug fits
in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit into the outlet, reverse the plug and try again.
If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
SHORT CORD
A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk of becoming entangled or snagged. Extension
cords may be used if care is exercised in their use. If an extension cord is used, the marked electri-
cal rating of the extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance. The
extension cord should be arranged so that it will not hang over the countertop or tabletop where it can be
pulled on by children or pets, or tripped over.

9. Do not use outdoors.
10. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or
counter, or touch hot surface, including the
stove.
11. Unplug from outlet when not in use, before
putting on or taking off parts, and before clean-
ing.
12. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged
cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunc-
tions, or is damaged in any manner.
