BEFORE USING.
This is the safety alert symbol. When you see this symbol in this
manual, look for one of the following signal words and be alert
to the potential for personal injury.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Hazardous voltage. Can shock, burn or cause
death. The unit is equipped with a grounding type attachment plug. Be
sure it is connected only to a properly grounded receptacle. Where a
2-prong wall receptacle is encountered, it must be replaced with a
properly grounded 3-prong receptacle in accordance with codes and
ordinances that apply. Do not cut off the round grounding prong. Do
not use with adapters that allow connecting 3-prong plugs to 2-prong
receptacles.
Risk of Electrical Shock. Can burn or cause death.
Do not open the side or back of the dispenser unit.
Burn Hazard. The hot water can be hot enough to
burn or scald skin. Do not allow the hot water to contact skin. Only
dispense the hot water into heat-tolerant vessels.
Health Hazard. Do not use with water that is
microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality. Use only bottled water
from reputable sources.
Tipping Hazard. Do not allow children to play on or
around this unit. It could be pulled or pushed over causing damage or
injury.
Health Hazard. Spoiled Food. Do not use this unit to
preserve spoilable foods. Use it only to chill pre-packaged drinks and
food.
Slipping Hazard. Wipe up any spilled water
immediately. Water may spill during loading or dispensing. Water on a
smooth floor may cause slipping.
INSTALLATION
Follow these guidelines when installing this unit.
• Install the unit on level flooring.
• Remove desiccant (carbon) bags from grille on back of unit.
• Plug the unit into a grounded (3-prong) outlet only after a full water
bottle has been installed.
• If you must use extension cords, use a grounded (3-prong) cord that
is at least 14 AWG wire size.
• Locate the water dispenser where it will not freeze.
• Locate the unit away from heat sources.
• Leave at least an inch of space behind the unit so air can circulate
around the coils.
Risk of unit damage. Do not plug in the unit until
water has been loaded into the dispenser.
