3.5. Regulating the air during lighting
Air inlet
Opening the air inlet completely is mandatory during the lighting, and it is recommended to leave the door
ajar during lighting as well, in order to avoid condensation of the fumes on the glass.
Please wait enough time (until the hearth has warmed up) before starting to regulate the air inlet.
3.6. Regulating the air during burning
Air inlet
During normal functioning of the stove, once the device has heated up (when at least an hour has passed
since lighting) one can regulate the air inlet to leave it 15-40% open, in order to achieve an optimum
combustion and efficiency.
Warning. – While the stove is functioning, the air should never be closed 100%
Warning.- In wood burners and inserts, prolonged and continuous use at a very low rate of combustion
or with very wet wood can cause highly flammable creosote to build up in the flue.
