IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
This TV set complies with all current safety regulations. The following safety tips should protect the user
from careless use of the TV and the resulting dangers.
• Although this TV set was manufactured with utmost care and a stringent final inspection before it
left the factory, as with any electrical appliance there is always the possibility that problems may
arise. Disconnect the TV set from the mains grid immediately in case of smoke, extreme heat or
any other signs of unnatural conditions.
• Ensure sufficient ventilation of the TV set! Never set up the TV in the vicinity of or beneath a curtain!
• The power plug or appliance plug is used to disconnect the TV set from the mains grid and should be
easily accessible at all times.
• The TV set may be connected only to a power supply that corresponds to the power supply specified
on the type plate located on the back of the TV set. Never connect the TV set to any other type of
power supply.
• The electrical socket should be in the vicinity of the TV set and must be easy to reach.
• To prevent overloads, do not plug too many appliances into the electrical socket where the TV is
plugged in.
• Class 1 device; this device must be earthed.
• Keep rodents away from the TV set.
• Pull on the power plug to unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet. Never pull on the power
cord itself; this could result in damage and cause a short circuit.
• Set up the TV so that no one can trip over the power cord.
• Never place heavy objects on the power cord, since this could damage the cord.
• To prevent injuries, make sure that the power cord is not within the reach of children and that it
cannot be unplugged by them.
• Do not set up the TV in the vicinity of heat sources. The housing and the power cord could be damaged
from the effects of the heat.
• The screen is made of plastic, which can chip off if damaged. To prevent injuries, exercise care
when picking up sharp plastic splinters.
• Avoid placing the TV set on surfaces that are prone to vibrations or impacts.
• To protect the TV set from lightning, disconnect it from the mains grid and remove the antenna.
Warning: Do not touch the RF antenna connector.
• For safety reasons, disconnect the TV set from the mains grid when you are away from your home
for extended periods.
• The TV set becomes warm when switched on. To prevent overheating, never place covers or blankets
on the TV set. Never cover the ventilation openings. Avoid exposing the TV set to direct sunlight.
Maintain a free space of 5 cm (2") to surrounding objects when installing in a shelf.
