Scoring
1. The horseshoe that lands closest to the stake scores 1 point.
2. Ringers count for 3 points (Fig. 2).

3. If a player has a ringer and the closest shoe, it is worth 4 points (Fig. 3).

4. If a ringer is thrown on top of an opponents ringer, it cancels each other out
and no points are scored.
5. The player/team that scores 40 points wins the game.
