Before first use:

1. Remove all packaging and take apart all removable parts of this product.
To remove the bowl from the base, turn the bowl counter clockwise.
NOTICE: It can be difficult to remove the bowl when the product is new. To facilitate this
process, place the base on its side against a soft surface and turn the bowl firmly.
2. Wash the top, bowl, and blade with warm water and soap. Rinse and let dry.
To assemble:
CAUTION: Be sure that the product is disconnected from the outlet before assembling.
Handle the blade with care as it is very sharp.
1. Use this product on a flat and stable surface.
2. Insert the central opening of the bowl through the metal axis of the base and turn the bowl
clockwise until the security latches of the bowl are locked into the base. This prevents the
bowl from separating from the base. Refer to Figure 1.

3. When installing the blade, take hold of the plastic part opposite the blade and place the
blade so that the metal axis of the base is inserted through the small hole on the underside
of the blade. The central column of the bowl must be inserted through the large hole on the
underside of the blade.
4. Place the top on top of the bowl and firmly turn clockwise to close the appliance.
CAUTION: When closed correctly, the arrow embossed on the handle of the top will
line up with the arrow embossed on the base (close to the pulse button). The top must be
completely closed in its correct position before operating the food chopper. Refer to Figure 2.
