INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
TRP-SERIES
DESCRIPTION
The TRP is an electronic transformer and switching device. It supplies 24VDC
output to power occupancy sensors and provides multi-voltage switching for
loads based on the signal from the sensor or other device.

CAUTION
We recommend that installation be made by a liscensed electrician.
Before wiring and servicing, power to this unit and the
equipment it controls must be turned off at the main panel. Connect in
accordance with national and local electrical codes.
1. Turn off power at service panel.
2. Mount unit to junction box as shown in illustration.
3. Electrically connect the unit to the circuit as shown in the wiring diagram.
4. Restore power at service panel.
TRP SERIES INSTALLATION
1. This control must be installed in accordance with national and local electrical
code requirements.
2. Installation by a licensed electrical contractor is recommended.
3. The TRP series is a Class 2 Power Supply with 150mA output. It is suitable
for interconnection of multiple devices. A maximum of six Tork COS-L type
occupancy sensors may be connected. Refer to instruction manuals for other
devices.
4. Wire size for low voltage connections require UL listed 18 – 22 AWG size.
Choose insulation type suitable for the application per code.

LINE VOLTAGE WIRES
The TRP is a multi-function power pack. The primary function provides circuit ON/OFF control
with input from an occupancy sensor. There are line voltage wires that power the TRP and provide
switching. These wires are the larger wires in the threaded nipple on the TRP.
INPUT POWER: Power is supplied to operate the unit from the BLACK (Line-HOT) and WHITE
(Neutral).
POWER SWITCHING: Two RED wires form the dry contacts for SPST switching. If one of the
RED wires is connected to the incoming LINE (as shown in the diagram), the SPST switch is now
a powered switch leg for connection to the load.
LOW VOLTAGE WIRES
TYPICAL OPERATION:
The TRP is a multi-function power pack. The primary function provides circuit ON/OFF control
with input from an occupancy sensor. The RED, BLACK and BLUE wires are the only wires used in
typical occupancy sensor operation.
OUTPUT POWER: Two wires, RED (24VDC) and BLACK (Common) are used to power low
voltage devices. When using the TRP in a low voltage switching application, the BLACK is
capped and the RED supplies the 24VDC to switches.
CONTROL: Control ON (BLUE) – This input is intended to connect to an occupancy sensors or
other device. Applying 24VDC turns ON the TRP. Remove the voltage turns OFF the TRP.
SPECIAL OPERATION:
Additional input wires provide remote override capabilities by a timer, BAS input, or momentary
switch.
INPUT CONTROL:
Momentary ON (GREY) – This input is for direct control of the TRP with a low voltage
momentary switch. Applying 24VDC to momentary input latches the TRP to ON. Once Manual
ON (Grey) is used Momentary OFF (Purple) must be used to turn OFF the TRP. Removing
Control ON (Blue) or connecting Hold OFF (Brown) cannot turn the TRP OFF.
Momentary OFF (PURPLE) – This input is for direct control of the TRP with a low voltage
momentary switch. Applying 24VDC to momentary input changes the TRP to OFF after
Momentary ON (Grey) is used. This input cannot override Control ON (Blue) or Hold ON
(Orange).
Hold ON (ORANGE)* – This input is intended for timer input. Applying 24VDC closes the TRP.
Remove the voltage and the TRP turns OFF. IF Control ON (Blue) is connected the TRP will
remain ON.
Hold OFF (BROWN)* – This input is intended for timer, BAS, or load shed input. Applying
24VDC opens the relay. Remove the voltage and the relay can accept any other input. This
connection overrides Control ON (Blue) and Hold ON (Orange) inputs. Momentary ON (Grey)
will override relay ON.
*TRP-I only
LED INDICATOR:
The LED on the TRP-I indicates the following conditions:
LED OFF: No input power is applied to the TRP. It may also indicate a short circuit with the
+24VDC output.
LED blinking continuously: Flashes once every 2 seconds and off for 0.5 seconds, switched
load is ON.
LED normally ON: The switched load is OFF
