A1- Instruction Manual
Digital load / weight measuring system
F) 699 Instrument configuration – MANU procedure
0) Once MultiRope MRL100 system has been installed, enter this procedure by :
powering the 699 unit, while pressing +C buttons
using RESET pushbutton, while pressing +C buttons
Display will show MANU to confirm procedure activation.
Use or to view available parameters.
Use E to view and modify existing numeric parameter or to confirm changes to
parameter. 699 unit indicate that new parameter has been accepted by showing,
briefly, MEMO and then displaying again the parameter's name.
Use C to end calibration and start load measurement or to abort changes to
numeric parameter, maintaining the existing value.
To modify numeric parameter use to increase or to decrease value of one
unit. + E increase value of 10 and then 100 units while + C decreases of
10 and then 100 units.
1) TARE: a tare value is set, as current lift's own weight (always set to 0); use
the lift for some runs, at maximum load (also jump on the lift), prior this
measurement; press E to start count down (60 sec; display shows from T-60 to
T-0 to indicate remaining delay) to allow technician to move away form lift (no
load on lift's floor until measurement is taken).
completed after MEMO is displayed and TARE is shown again.
2) HI: Used to acquire measurement corresponding to the reference known
weight, placed in the middle of lift's floor. Enter the weight value, in Kg or
other engineering units, and press E to start count down (60 sec; display shows
from T-60 to T-0 to indicate remaining delay). HI measurement is completed
after MEMO is displayed and Hi is shown again. Calibration quality will increase
by using a weight of around 50 % of lift's rated capacity (or as near as possible
to lift's capacity).
Measurement performed by the 699F unit will be shown in the same
engineering unit used for HI value (Kg, Lbf, N, etc. – Measurement Unit not
shown).
3) FSCA: maximum lift's rated capacity, in Kg or other engineering unit. Default
value = 0
4) LEV1: alarm level value, expressed in percentage of the FSCA value, to
activate Relay 1 (modifiable value). Default value = 80 % FSCA.
5) LEV2: alarm level value, expressed in percentage of the FSCA value, to
activate Relay 2 (modifiable value). Default value = 110 % FSCA.
6) LEV3: alarm level value, expressed in percentage of the FSCA value, to
activate Relay 3 (modifiable value). Default value = 5 % FSCA.
This parameter is considered by 699 only if Relay 3 is installed (option).
7) CHNC: (option) Towed chain compensation and relays block are inactive
(default) if CHNC=0; active if CHNC=1. Parameter is available only if digital
input 1 and digital input 2 are installed.
ATTENTION: When the programming procedure is ended by pressing the
into the normal measurement mode (i.e. MCAL), it is possible that with empty car a value different from
zero is shown, or that the units displays a value different from the used calibration load.
C
Please unload the car and press the
button once, confirming the weight for the empty car.

G) Towed chain compensation and relays block function
Towed chain and relays block function are activated as follows:
1. When doors are closed, feed between INPUT1 (terminal 5) and EXGND (terminal 6 = GND/common
reference) a voltage coming from door relay where:
0 Vac/dc = lift DOOR OPEN.
+12/24Vac/dc = lift DOOR CLOSED.
2. In case of black out (no power supply fed to 699), cabin is to be moved to lowest floor, in order to align
chain compensation function.
H) 699 Relay test procedure
It is possible to verify functionality of all the installed relays by keeping pressed, at power on or after having pressed
the reset button, + E.
When 699plus unit enters this procedure display shows TREL and relay activation (if present) can be tested by
pressing to test Relay 1, to test Relay 2 or E to test Relay 3.
Press Reset button to return to normal measurement operation.
I) 699 Plus electronics Analog Output setting (Optional)
Making reference to the 699 customization procedures, parameter setting for analog output signal must be done considering the
following flowchart:
Note: the analog output circuit provides an analog output signal for all operative modes. The firmware version is to be at least
1.17 or higher. To obtain a reversed 10V to 0V output, calibrate DACL with high engineering units (measuring range) while on
DACH enter lower ones.
Analog output signal connection is as per attached connection scheme.
