The adapter accepts astronomy eyepieces using a plug-in
diameter of 1.25", whereby the use of eyepieces with a focal
length of less than 7 mm is not recommended.
1. Assembly of the Astro-Adapter
First fasten the adapter firmly to the eyepiece. To do this, slide
the eyepiece through the adapter until its sleeve extends at
least a little past the lower end of the 3 fastening hooks of
(2)
the adapter (1). However, at the same time attention should
max. 20 mm!
be paid that the end of the sleeve should never extend more
than 20 mm past the lower end of the fastening hooks of the
adapter (2). Now moderately tighten the three grub screws
(3)
of the adapters with the included wrench (3).
2. Assembly of the eyepiece
Before inserting the eyepiece in the scope body, make sure
that the eyepiece fastening ring on the scope body is in the
open position (rotation to the left) on the left stop (4).
Now hold onto the eyepiece unit mounted in the adapter
on the adapter ring, guide it into the eyepiece opening of
the scope (5) and lock the eyepiece unit by carefully turning
(approx. 1 mm) to the right (6). Finally, secure the eyepiece
by a slight turn of the eyepiece fastening ring on the scope
to the right (7).
3. Adjustment
If necessary, also extend the eyepiece within the mounted
adapter. To do this, open the 3 grub screws of the adapter
(3) and move the eyepiece carefully with very little force into
the desired position (also here carefully ensure that the end
of the sleeve may never extend more than 20 mm (2) past
the lower end of the fastening hooks of the adapter). Finally,
carefully retighten the grub screws of the adapter (3).
4. Dismantling
To remove the eyepiece, first turn the eyepiece fastening
ring on the scope body into the open position (by turning to
the left) to the left stop (4). Then hold the eyepiece on the
adapter ring (5), turn it to the left out of the anchoring and it
can now be removed.
