Rice Quantity
•
With this device you can boil a maximum of 1.5 kg of rice
(gross weight). For this you require 3 litres of water. Depend-

mately 2.5 kg of boiled rice with a cooking time of approx.
35 min.
•
The minimum quantity of rice for boiling is 280 g (2 CUPs),
which will provide you with approx. 550 g of boiled rice,
depending on the type of rice used.
•
If the measuring cup is not at hand, please use a rice-to-
water ratio of 1 : 2 (1 part rice : 2 parts water).

The appliance is in KEEP WARM mode as soon as it is
plugged in.

Steaming
Steaming is a gentle way to cook food using hot water steam.
This maintains more valuable nutrients in the food compared
with other methods of cooking. To steam food, use the steam
insert.
1. Insert the rice pot into the rice cooker.
2. Pour the minimum quantity of water as stated in the follow-
ing table into the rice pot.
3. Place the steam insert into the rice pot.
4. Place your food into the steam insert.
5. Close the lid.

7. Press the switch down. The KEEP WARM control light goes
out and the RICE COOKING light goes on.
8. Check the cooking status occasionally.
9. Depending on the steam time it may be necessary to top up
water to compensate for evaporation. Add water as needed
