47. Start from the side and pull upward on the upper trim panel
disconnecting the retaining clips from the instrument panel.
48. Tilt the upper trim panel up and disconnect ambient light
sensor by twisting sensor from the underside of the trim
panel.
49. Remove upper trim panel.
50. Install the GPS antenna to the top of the instrument panel.
See Figure 14.

51. Route the GPS antenna wiring in front of the HVAC duct
down through the instrument panel to the radio opening.
52. Prevent pinching the GPS antenna wiring by routing down
through the back of the instrument panel opening, exiting
where the radio electrical connectors are routed.
Go to Step 80 for Hybrid (&HP2) vehicles.
NOTE - FOR DENALI VEHICLES ONLY: If the following circuits
are in radio connector J1 and J4 then the navigation harness,
19132237 does not need to be installed into the vehicle. Circuit
817 with Dark Green with White stripe insulation in radio con-
nector J4 cavity 5. Circuit 5149 with Pink insulation into con-
nector J1, cavity 4. Circuit 5152 with Pink and Black stripe
insulation into connector J1, cavity 5.
53. Route the navigation wire harness through the radio opening
along side of the existing electrical radio connectors.
54. Route wiring through the lower instrument panel and through
the drivers side knee bolster area.
55. Route over the brake pedal assembly and follow instrument
panel wiring down to the top off the instrument panel electri-
cal junction block/MBEC.

56. Remove MBEC cover (1). See Figure 15.

57. Install the 8-way orange navigation harness connector to
cavity C4 located on the back of the MBEC. See Figure 16.

58. If orange connector is present in MBEC cavity C4, then
remove the terminal from the navigation wiring harness and
install terminal into the existing connector. The navigation
harness circuit must be installed in cavity 3 of orange
connector C4, P/N 13516829. The cavity number is molded
into the back of the connector. See Figure 17.
