When leaving unattended / transporting the
machine:
Switch the machine off
Push on the safety cover
Remove the battery
After use, remove the battery and check the app-
liance for damage.

1. Always clean the blade and housing with a
brush or cloth after use. Do not use water and/
or aggressive cleaning agents – risk of corro-
sion!
2. Lightly oil the cutter bar with a suitable preser-
vative oil.
3. Check that all screws are tightened securely.
4. Check blade regularly. Contact AL-KO Ser-
vice Centre in the case of:
Defective blade
Blunt blade
Excessive wear

STORAGE
The blade cover can be used as a wall-
mounted holder for the hedge trimmer
(8).
Make sure that the screws are tightened
securely!
Clean the appliance and its accessories after
each use.
Always attach the blade cover before storing
the machine
Keep the appliance out of reach of children
and unauthorised persons.
Store the appliance in a dry place protected
against frost.
Secure the machine with a padlock*.

Storing the battery and charger
Store the battery in a dry place protected from
frost, with an ambient temperature between 0
°C and +35 °C, and with the battery charged
to approx. 40 - 60%
Completely recharge the battery for about 2
hours after 6 months in storage
Do not store the battery near metallic or acid-
containing objects - these present a risk of
short-circuit!
DISPOSAL
Do not dispose of worn-out machines
or spent batteries (including recharge-
able batteries) in domestic waste!
The packaging, machine and accessories
are made from recyclable materials and
must be disposed of accordingly.
The user is obliged to return the batteries.
Disposal can be handled by the retailer or at
recycling centres.
Do not dispose of the battery unless it is di-
scharged.
