1. Using kit number 104219 or 104229 series, replace spout nut (1),
retaining clip (2), and o-ring (3) on spout. Use kit number 115002 or
115003 to replace spout base and o-rings seal(s) (4) on the spout tube (B).
2. Using the grease packet, apply grease to the outer o-ring seals of the
spout tube (B). Place spout base (6) over spout tube (B). Tighten spout
base (6) securely by sliding 7/32" hex wrench (5) through lift rod hole in
the spout base and into the spout bolt (C) and turning clockwise.
3. Apply a 1/4" bead of plumber's putty (not supplied) under bottom of
escutcheon (7). Place spout escutcheon (7) and spout skirt (8) over
top of the spout base with the lift rod hole to the back. Insure that the
gasket (9) is on the bottom threaded end of the spout assembly (D).
Apply grease (supplied) to the outer o-ring seal and place the spout
down onto the spout skirt (8)

4. Tighten the spout assembly (D) to the spout skirt (8) by rotating the
spout nut (9) until the spout is securely fastened to the skirt. To achieve
this secure fastening, use pliers and the covers provided (as shown
above) to torque down the spout nut. DO NOT over tighten spout nut as
it may cause damage to the finish. If you have a ceramic spout skirt,
special care must be taken.
