10. ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
It is important to fully assemble your charger before use.
Remove all cord wraps and uncoil the cables prior to using
the battery charger. Follow these instructions for assembly.
Refer to the illustration:
1. Attach handle to the unit with screws provided.
2. Remove backing and attach the four rubber feet
on the bottom.

11. CONTROL PANEL

ON/OFF Switch
The ON (I) / OFF (O) switch is located in the upper left-hand corner. The OFF (O)
position disconnects the AC input current to the charger, but it does not disconnect the
output of the charger from the battery.
Ammeter
Supplied on front of charger, it indicates amount of amps flowing from charger into battery.
The meter's front has zones marked CHARGE, START, and a graphed numerical value.
Charge Rate Selector Switch
Use the Charge Rate selector switch to select the charge rate or engine starting setting
you require.
• 10 Amp: For slow-charging, low-rated batteries used in motorcycles, snowmobiles,
lawn and garden tractors, etc., and trickle charging automotive-size batteries.
• 30 Amp: For fast charging automotive-style, regular and deep-cycle batteries. DO NOT
use on small, low-capacity batteries.
• 50 Amp Boost Charge: For momentary high rate output. Refer to charger's front panel
for time duration.
• 100-200 Amp: For automotive, engine-assisted cranking-starting only. Refer to
ENGINE START section below.
WARNING: AT HIGHER AMP RATES, IT BECOMES EASIER TO BOIL AND
OVERCHARGE THE BATTERY. DO NOT LEAVE THE CHARGER UNATTENDED.
REFER TO THE BATTERY MANUFACTURER'S CHARGING INSTRUCTIONS. USE THE
CHARGING TIME CHART IN SECTION 13 TO DETERMINE HOW LONG TO CHARGE.

Charging
1. Make sure to place the charger on a dry, non-flammable surface, such as wood
or concrete.
2. Ensure that all of the charger components are in place and in good working
condition,including the plastic boots on the battery clips.
3. Connect the battery, following the precautions listed in sections 6 and 7.
4. Select the appropriate settings for your battery.
5. Connect the AC power, following the precautions listed in section 8.
6. Turn the charger on.
7. When the battery is fully charged, press the switch to O (OFF), unplug the AC power,
and then remove the battery clips.
This battery charger must be properly assembled in accordance with the
