mount them on the new filter element. The threads are self-sealing. If, despite these
measures, there is still some leakage, the thread can be sealed with Teflon tape. Click
the new filter element into the holding clips and reconnect the hoses.
Changing the membrane
If the flow capacity of the unit decreases to approx. 50% although other factors
are correct (pressure, temperature, pre-filter not blocked), the membrane should
be changed. This may be the case after 1-8 years, depending on the quality of the
untreated water.
– Shut off the water supply, pull off the hose on the lid (2) of the membrane casing (3)
and unscrew the lid of the membrane casing.
– Using pliers, carefully remove the membrane from the casing. Note the position of
the membrane!
– Place the new membrane in the same position (!!) as the old one, with the encircling
untreated water seal (11) uppermost. We recommend lightly greasing the two
washers on the lower hose end of the membrane with Vaseline. This makes re-
assembly easier and ensures that the seal between the untreated water and the
permeate is correct.
– Close the casing lid and reconnect the hoses.
– Rinse the new membrane as described in Item 3 of the installation instructions.
