Starting type
The generator has two starting systems: Manual starting and electric starting where
a small electric starter motor will give the initial start to the combustion engine.

Manual starting

1- Turn the starting key to the ON position.
2- Gently pull the manual starter handle until resistance
is felt. From that position, pull it energetically.
3- The system is self-retractile so the starter handle will
return to its position. Do not drop the handle since
that can damage the product or cause injuries to
the operator.
4- Repeat as many times as necessary until it starts.

Electric starting

1- Check that the battery is properly connected and turn the starting key to the ON
position.
2- Turn the key to the START position and keep it there for a few seconds. Repeat
until the combustion engine starts. Important: do not keep the key in the START
position for more than 10 seconds.
Start-up
Once it starts, move the air cleaner to the start position (open, ON).

Tips and precautions to operate the generator
1- Do not start two or more units simultaneously.
1
2- Warm up the generator without charge for 3 minutes. If the generator will be used
to supply more than one unit, make sure to connect them one by one, starting with
the one of highest energy usage. Most engines require more power for the start than
for the regular operation. Do not exceed the energy limit specified for each plug.
3- Make sure all the appliances are in good operating conditions before being
connected to the generator. If any of the appliances operates abnormally from the
start (operating slowly or shutting down abruptly), turn off the circuit breaker
immediately. Then, disconnect and check the appliance. Avoid an overload in the
circuits by reducing the load. Wait for a few minutes before resuming the operation.
If the voltmeter reading is too high or too low, stop the machine and check any
possible causes for such malfunctioning. The generator is ready to load when the
reading shows 110
V~
/ 220
V~
(60 Hz).
4- Application of direct current (dc): Do not use dc and ac at the same time. The
dc terminal may be used only to charge 12
5-When the generator is connected to the mains, make sure a qualified electrician
performs this task. An inappropriate connection between the generator and the
appliance may result in damages to both the generator and the appliance, including
fire. Warning: If the generator will be connected to the mains, make sure the main
switch is in the OFF position, as a sudden electricity restore may damage both the
generator and the units connected to it.
