This heavy-duty press can handle difficult hydraulic pressing jobs. Wide-open uprights (over 12") allow for easy side
loading. The cylinder head glides smoothly along the upper bolster on rollers, allowing fast and easy horizontal adjustments.
The upper bolster can be lowered for convenient positioning during repetitive jobs.
The safety signal word designates the degree or level of hazard seriousness.

Bleed any trapped air in the hydraulic system: Air can accumulate in the hydraulic system during initial setup or after prolonged use, causing the cylinder to respond slowly or in an unstable manner. To remove the air, 1) With the cylinder lower than the pump and no load on the system, run the pump to extend and retract the cylinder fully several times.

3. Align the work pieces on the work bed and wrap with a protective blanket if possible. 4. For the 1857 press: Turn the pump valve knob clockwise (CW) to a CLOSED position. Note: Hand tight only! Pump the pump handle up and down to build pressure and begin moving the cylinder rod out of the cylinder.
