INSTALLATION OF POLISHING SPONGE / ABRASIVE PAPER
The polisher features buffing-polishing wheel (12) (fig. I) with hook and loop attachment. You can use it
with polishing sponge and abrasive papers with proper dimensions.
Put polishing sponge (13) (fig. I) or abrasive paper with attachment side towards and against the buffing-
polishing wheel, then press.
Check condition of polishing wheel before use of the power tool. Do not use wheels with dents,
cracks or other damages. Immediately replace damaged wheel with a new one.
SWITCHING ON / SWITCHING OFF
The mains voltage must match the voltage on the rating plate of the polisher. Hold the polisher with
both hands when starting and during operation.
The polisher is equipped with the switch, which protects against accidental starting.
● Move the switch button (14) (fig. J) left to position I.
● The display (15) will show „00", which means the power tool is on.
● Switch on the power tool motor with speed adjustment button + (17).
● Switch off the power tool motor with the speed adjustment button - (16) and return to „00" setting
shown on the display.
● Move the switch (14) to position „0" to switch off the power tool.
In case of power failure during operation, and when the power is restored, the power tool automatically
switches to „00" mode shown on the display, i.e. with power on and with motor off. This will happen when
the switch stays in position „I".
ROTARY SPEED CONTROL
Motor rotary speed is controlled with rotary speed adjustment buttons located on the control panel (2). The
display (15) (fig. J) shows two digits that represent approximate spindle rotary speed with multiplier x100
(rpm). This is a step adjustment. Available settings shown on the display are as follows: 00, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30.
● To increase rotary speed press the speed adjustment button „+" (17) (fig. J).
● To decrease rotary speed press the speed adjustment button „-" (16) (fig. J).
● Press the button many times if necessary to obtain required setting.
Adjusted rotational speed is maintained constant during idle and full load operation.
Motor starts operation with soft-start, which is used for starting the motor without load. Do not
start working or apply pressure on the power tool before the motor achieves its full set up rotational
speed.
Small speeds are best for polishing, high gloss polishing and finishing. High rotational speeds are used for
sanding.
POLISHING
Depending on the planned work, use appropriate pads and polishing wheels, e.g. with sponge or foam, felt,
textile, multi-layer cloth etc.
● Use only clean sponges and polishing pads.
● Choose the right hardness of polishing sponge or other accessory, consider the instructions of the
manufacturer of polishing paste and other lacquer caring agents.
● Whole polishing wheel surface must rest on the surface of polished piece.
● Proceed with polishing on cold lacquer.
● Distribute polishing compound on the polishing sponge surface (do not allow direct contact of
polishing agent with workpiece surface).
● Only wax should be applied on the whole surface, because it must dry before polishing.
● Switch the polisher on and off only when the polishing wheel rests on polished surface.
● Move the polisher along the surface at uniform rate (fig. K), do not apply additional pressure (weight
of the polisher is usually enough to obtain required results).
● Do not allow operation of polisher on one spot without moving around to avoid overheating the
lacquer.
