Before proceeding to install your tap, make sure that there are no remains of materials on the inside of the tubes, which
might damage the ceramic seals of the taps. We advise you to let the water run fon 1 or 2 minutes, in order to
eliminate possible remains, before proceeding to install your tap.
M.Z. DEL RIO, S.A. advises your taps to be installed or repaired by a professional plumber and in any case to carry
out the installation according to the directions established in the installation instructions.
IMPORTANT - IT IS RECOMMENDED TO FIX THE PIPES TO THE WALL IN ORDER TO AVOID
NOISES, VIBRATIONS AND WELDING FISSURES
ATTENTION: NOT TO REMOVE THE PROTECTIONS UNTIL ALL MASONRY WORK IS FINISHED
IMPORTANT - DO NOT DISASSEMBLE THE CARTRIDGE UNDER ANY REASON. IT WILL CAUSE
WARRANTY INVALIDITY.
If you need to solder inlet and outlet water fittings, proceed accordign to next indications:
- Solder fittings before install the valves.
- It is not needed to disassemble the cartridges.
- Solder with tin-silver.
- Cool cartridge zone with a damp cloth when you solder.
1) Shut off hot and cold water supply lines and remove old fittings, if any. Make opening in back wall large enough to
work through.
2) Connect water supply lines to built in wall single lever body (1 or 12) taking into account the recommended built
in wall tolerance (Fig.1, pag.1). Install the valve body with the arrow pointing up. Hot water to left and cold water
to right. Use teflon tape or pipe compound on all threaded connections. Take care not to remove the plastic protection
until installation is finished in order to avoid any damage in the trim.
3) Install 1/2" shower supply line (not included) to center connection on valve assembly (1 or 12) and to a 1/2" pipe
elbow (not included) at desired shower height.
Assemble 1/2" tub spout supply line to 1/2" elbow (not included). Screw this assembly into bottom opening of valve
assembly. Pipe elbow should reach the wall opening just above tub.
4)
5) Before installing the rest of the parts of the tap, we advise you to have finished all the masonry work, in order to
avoid possible damages to the tap. After masonry work the hole in the wall must be enough to have access to stop
valves, besides the hole must be covered with the cover plate.
By restricting HANDLE rotation and limiting the amount of hot water allowed to mix with the cold, the HOT LIMIT SAFETY
STOP (1) reduces risk of accidental scalding. To set the maximum hot water temperature of your faucet, all you need to do is
adjust the setting on the HOT LIMIT SAFETY STOP (1).
Turn CARTRIDGE STEM (2) to the OFF position (coldest setting) before making adjustment to HOT LIMIT STOP (1). Use a flat
blade screwdriver to pry free the HOT LIMIT SAFETY STOP (1). Pull forward and rotate counterclockwise one number to limit
hot water temperature. Use MARK (3) on CARTRIDGE (4) and MARKS (5) on HOT LIMIT STOP (1) for indication (see Fig.3,
pag. 3).
VALVE FOR USE WITH SHOWE HEADS RATED AT 9,5 L/MIN. (2,5 GPM) OR HIGHER
