First tighten blade screw (18) to finger tight. Engage
spindle lock button (3).
Whilst depressing the spindle lock button (3), tighten
blade screw (18) firmly with the blade hex key (25)
supplied.
7. Before connecting the saw to a power source, en-
sure that:
- The spindle lock button (3) is released;
- The blade (19) rotates freely;
- The lower blade guard (15) operates correctly.
NOTE: Do not modify blade hex key (25) to elongate it,
since it may lead to over tightening of the blade screw/
bolt (18).

ADJUSTING THE CUTTING DEPTH

WARNING: Unplug the power tool!
Loosen the depth adjustment lever (21). Hold the base
plate (14) down with one hand and raise or lower the saw
by the back handle (23). Tighten depth adjust lever (21) at
the depth setting desired. Check desired depth. (Fig. 3)
To obtain minimum splintering while operating, ensure
that no more than one tooth protrudes through the tim-
ber.
ADJUSTING THE BEVEL
WARNING: Unplug the power tool!
Vertical cutting
Set the base plate (14) to maximum depth of cut setting.
Loosen bevel adjustment knob (10), set to 0º on bevel
scale (9), retighten bevel adjustment knob (10) and check
for 90º angle between the blade (19) and bottom plane of
the base plate (14), with a square.
Bevel cutting
The base plate (14) can be adjusted from 0° to 45°. Loos-
en the bevel adjustment knob (10) at the front of the saw.
Align to desired angle on calibrated bevel scale (9). Then
tighten bevel adjustment knob (10). (Fig. 4)
Due to the increased area of blade engagement in the
work and decreased stability of the base plate (14), blade
binding may occur. Keep the saw steady and the press
the base plate (14) firmly on the work piece.
LINE GUIDE
For a straight 90º cut, use the right cutting guide notch
(13a) in the base plate (14). For 45º bevel cuts, use cut-
ting the left guide notch (13b). Make sample cuts in scrap
timber to verify actual line of cut.
SWITCHING ON - SWITCHING OFF
WARNING: When starting the circular saw,
hold it securely with both hands. The torque from the
motor can cause the tool to twist.
Switching on: Press the lock-off button (2) and squeeze
the ON/OFF switch (1).
Original instructions
Switching off: Release the ON/OFF switch (1),
Your saw should be running at full speed before starting
the cut and turned off only after completing the cut.

DUST EXTRACTION

Use a vacuum cleaner during operation. Connect the
vacuum cleaner to the dust extraction port and switch on
the vacuum cleaner prior to starting a cut.
USING THE LASER LINE SYSTEM

beam.
Always ensure that the laser light is turned off when the
tool is not in use.
1.
Mark the line of the cut on the work piece.
2.
Adjust the bevel angle of cut as required.
3.
Position the saw on the work piece with the front
edge of the base plate resting on the work piece.
Ensure the blade is not touching the work piece.
4.
Switch the laser light on by depressing the laser light
switch (4).

WARNING: After switching off the saw, be
aware of the necessary time it takes for the blade to
come to a complete stop during coast down. Do not
allow the saw to brush against your body, since the
blade guard (15) is retractable, it could catch on your
clothing and expose the blade (19).
WARNING: Always make sure either hand
does not interfere with the free movement of the lower
blade guard (15).
When cutting is interrupted, to resume cutting, depress
the lock-off button (2), squeeze the ON/OFF switch (1)
and allow the blade (19) to reach full speed, re-enter the
