CTCSS/DCS - Menu: CdTSET
CTCSS and DCS filter unwanted signals on busy frequencies. If activated,
only received signals with the same code will pass and will be audible in the
speaker. Please note: CTCSS/DCS is not a security feature. With the monitor
function or an open squelch, CTCSS-/DCS-encoded signals can be heard.
With this function, select the code type first, i.e. either CTCSS (Ct) or DCS (dt)
and then the according code, i.e. CTCSS: 1-38 and DCS: 1-104.
Beep Tone - Menu: KEyBP
A beep tone, for confirmation of any key entry, can be activated/deactivated.
Scan Mode - Menu: SCM
The channel scan has two different modes available that determine how long
the scan function pauses on a frequency when a signal has been detected.
