WARNING -
safe usage instructions
1. Study, understand and follow all instructions before
operating this jack.
2. Make sure the working area is clear before using
the jack
3. Do not exceed rated capacity.
4. Lift only on jacking points as specified in aircraft
manual.
5. Use only on hard level surface.
6. Only original accessories and spare parts shall be
used.
7. No alterations shall be made to this jack.
8. The jack is provided with a pressure reducer unit,
reducing the air pressure in the jack to 8 bar/115
psi. Maximum air pressure directly into the jack
(bypassing the reducer) is 12 bar/170 psi.
9. Failure to follow these warnings may result in per-
sonal injury and/or property damage.
Assembly
Please notice that it is necessary to use a little oil for
lubrication during factory assembly. During transport
this oil may drip to the bottom of the box. This is abso-
lutely no sign of defect.
It is most convenient to mount the handle with the jack
turned upside-down.
IMPORTANT: The hoses must be twisted around the
bearing tube of the handle as shown on the 3 small
pictures: Ø6 connection to Ø6 quick fitting and Ø8 to
Ø8.
Do not operate the jack in this position or lying on the
side - if doing so there will be serious oil spillage.
Air supply from aircraft tyre: connect to pressure redu-
cer through hose with ¼" NPT or ¼" WRG.
Air supply from compressed-air bottle: connect to nip-
ple on right side of pressure reducer.
Please notice that the lifting speed will be reduced.
Full capacity requires 8 bar/115 psi.
Use
Lifting: Turn the control valve cloclwise until the pump
starts.
Lowering: Turn the control valve counter clockwise.
Always lower the cylinder completely after use in order
to protect the cylinder.
Emergency lowering: Should the air-supply or jack
fail, the aircraft can be lowered by means of an emer-
gency lowering valve. Pull the 4 mm unbraco key loose
from the strip, remove the cover button (18) and slowly
turn the adjusting screw beneath (28) counter clock-
wise. The oil will then bypass the normal air-controlled
lowering valve.
The handle offers 3 different positions by pulling the
release grip and tipping. Use the jack with the handle
fully extended, and park it with closed handle. The
extension function is locked by the locking handle (32).
Noise emision: The A-weighted sound pressure level
is max. 80 dB(A).
Maintenance
Maintenance and repair must always be carried out by
qualified personnel.
Daily: Like other pneumatic tools the air motor re-
quires oil for lubricating. Lubricate the air-motor by
injecting a little thin oil into the hose and then lift to
max. position. Disconnect the air supply, inject further
oil into the air hose, reconnect the air supply and turn
the control valve counter clockwise to lubricate the
cylinder walls.
Monthly: Lubricate all mechanical parts with a few
drops of oil and inspect jack for damages.
Oil refill: Correct oil level is up to lower edge of filling
hole (9) with the jack horizontal and the cylinder fully
down.
Quantity of oil: 3,5 l.
Use any good hydraulic oil of viscosity ISO VG 15.
Never use brake fluid!

Safety Inspection

According to national legislation - minimum once a
year though - the jack must be inspected by a professi-
onal: damages, wear and tear, adjustment of the safety
valve, hydraulic unit for leakages.
Connection of pressure gauge: A pressure gauge
can be connected through hole for adjusting screw
(28). Remove the cover button (18) and unscrew the
adjusting screw (4 mm unbraco), remove the small
pipe (29) and ball (14) from the hole using a magneto.
Then connect the pressure gauge by means of the
gauge connection (option). Hydraulic pressure at full
capacity: 425 bar/6160 psi.
Possible faults and how to overcome them
1. The jack does not lift to maximum position even
though the air motor is running: refill with oil.
2. The air motor runs slowly or stops: check air sup-
ply (minimum 8 bar/115 psi); the air filter (handle
drawing no. 17) is dirty and needs cleaning or
changing.
3. The load is dropping: change valve cores in pump
(repair kit 0907000).
IMPORTANT: the valve cores are to be tightened
slightly only, tighten to a torque setting of 10 Nm.
4. The cylinder is leaking: Change cylinder seals (re-
pair kit 0903420).
Spare parts
Replace worn or broken parts with genuine jack manu-
facturer supplied parts only.
Destruction
Oil must be drained off and legally disposed of.
