General
•
In accordance with the European standard the incoming 3-phase supply
should be fitted with a hand operated approved switch that must be
mounted near the Cable Reel. Refer to local and national standards when
located outside of Europe.
•
The continuity of the protective current circuit should be checked before
the Cable Reel is used.
•
Check that the supply voltage and frequency correspond with the data
on the machine plate of the Cable Reel before connecting to the mains
supply.
•
The Cable Reel should be connected to earth by the electrician carrying
out the installation.
•
Work on the electrical equipment may only be carried out by a qualified
electrician.
•
All power conductors and earth conductors should be checked and if
necessary retightened a few months after commissioning to ensure good
contact.
•
Never carry out service work, electrical or mechanical, without
disconnecting the mains voltage using an approved switch. Lock the
switch if necessary.
•
Always replace damaged, worn or defective electrical components or
other parts with new original parts.
