Important Safety Precautions

1. CAUTION –The tool reaches high temperature! May cause burn.
2. This tool must be placed on its stand when not in use.
3. Do not touch hot tip or hot metal parts when in use.
4. Keep out of reach of children. This is not a toy and not intended for use by children.
5. Misuse may cause burns, electric shock and injuries.
6. Do not immerse tool in water or other liquid! Danger of electric shock!
7. Always use the tool on a heatproof and uncluttered table.
8. After tool usage, let the tool cool before storing away.
9. Always place the soldering iron on the original stand between soldering operations when
not in use, to prevent risk of fire.
10. Always wear suitable protective clothing and safety glasses.
11. Solder and flux fumes may be hazardous. Always ensure adequate ventilation when
soldering.
12. This soldering iron is manufactured to the highest standards. Do not carry the soldering iron
by the mains cord, or use it for purposes it was not designed for.
13. Protect the cord from heat and sharp edges. Do not use the cord to remove the plug from
the socket outlet.
14. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or
similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
15. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they
have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety.
16. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be
made by children.
17. For household and indoor use. Use only for the intended purposes.
Operating Instructions
1. Confirm that the voltage on the soldering iron is the same as the current source.
2. Make sure iron tip is in fixed position and screw is tightened.
3. Connect soldering iron to mains current and place on the stand provided.
4. Turn the tool on by setting the switch to the "I" position.
5. Allow 10-15 minutes for the tool to heat up to its working temperature.
6. Ensure surfaces of the connection points are clean.
7. "Tin" the tip by covering the heated tip with rosin core solder.
8. Use the soldering iron to heat the connection points, not the solder.
9. Apply only enough solder to the heated parts.
10. Allow the joint to cool undisturbed.
11. Turn the tool off by setting the switch to the "0" position.
Unplug the soldering iron and let the iron cool down naturally on the stand.
