The distance between the opening of the
towbar unit and the hole in the side must be at
least 1.5" (3.8 cm).
Key number

To remember
Always comply with speed limits and traffic
regulations. Your speed must always be within
the safety margin dictated by road and traffic
conditions in relation to load weight, but must
never exceed 80 mph (130 km/h).
Tighten the bicycle holder's bracket after the
vehicle has driven 200 miles (321 km).

Drive carefully over speed bumps.
NOTE
Remember to be extra cautious if the
vehicle is equipped with an automatically
opening tailgate. The system could be
inadvertently activated in a car wash or
similar if the remote key is within range.
Never install the bicycle holder on a camper
trailer or similar pulled behind the vehicle.
However, the bicycle holder may be installed
on an RV or other motorized camper.
Only use the bicycle holder to transport
regular bicycles, never tandem or recumbent
bicycles. Also keep in mind that the bicycle(s)
should not be much wider than the vehicle.
