3. Use Whisper to Detect Leaks
a. Point Whisper in the direction of the suspected leak.
b. Scan the area by slowly moving Whisper side to side and/or up
and down to sweep the area.
NOTE:
If headphones are used, an alarm will not sound, but the
leak can be heard through the headphones. This is the
preferred operating mode for best results.
4. Using the Contact Probe (if equipped)
a. Install the contact probe by threading it clockwise onto the
Whisper plastic nose piece. Do not overtighten.
b. Plug in Whisper headphones.
c. Turn Whisper On.
d. Touch the contact probe to bearings or other mechanical
equipment and listen for irregular sounds such as grinding.

5. Using Whisper Transmitter (if equipped)
a. Install one 9V battery (included with accessory kit).
b. Turn Whisper Transmitter On. The power indicator will illuminate.
c. Place Whisper Transmitter in the sealed test area.
d. With Whisper sensitivity set to maximum, scan the exterior of the
sealed area for suspected leaks.
Do not touch contact probe to moving parts as
personal injury may occur.
