In case of unclear colour or in diffi cult light conditions
push down one of the release elements on the exterior of
the connection arms to ensure that both connection
hooks are open.

[Airbag Warning] NEVER fi t the TAKATA MINI
I-SIZE in a backward-facing position on the front seat
with the airbag activated. There is a SERIOUS RISK
OF INJURY OR DEATH, and it is therefore
FORBIDDEN BY LAW.
Depending on the vehicle, you may be able to
deactivate the airbag yourself, or may need to contact
your local dealer/garage for assistance.
Step 2 – Lock the seat into the TAKATA I-SIZE BASE
(PLUS)
[I-SIZE_BASE_025] Turn the TAKATA MINI I-SIZE
against the direction of travel, and place the TAKATA
MINI I-SIZE above the middle of the TAKATA
I-SIZE BASE (PLUS). The edge of the TAKATA
MINI I-SIZE with the belt loosening lever must be
positioned in a central position between the rear
connection arms and the seat backrest contact surface
of the TAKATA I-SIZE BASE (PLUS). Press the two
connection bolts of the TAKATA MINI I-SIZE into
the rear connection hooks of the TAKATA I-SIZE
BASE (PLUS). The bolts are properly locked into the
rear connection hooks when each one clicks into
place, and you can see a green marking on the top of
each hook's release element.
[I-SIZE_BASE_026] To secure the connection arms of
the TAKATA MINI I-SIZE with the front connection
hooks of the TAKATA I-SIZE BASE (PLUS), press
down from above on the back section of the TAKATA
MINI I-SIZE, until you hear a click.
WARNING!
[I-SIZE_BASE_026] Do not use the TAKATA MINI
I-SIZE in any circumstances if the TAKATA MINI
I-SIZE is not correctly secured to the TAKATA I-SIZE
BASE (PLUS). It is properly locked in place when
you can see a green marking on the top of each rear
hook's release element and if you checked prior to
installation of the TAKATA MINI I-SIZE on the
TAKATA I-SIZE BASE (PLUS) that the rear
connection hooks were open [I-SIZE_BASE_024].
NOTE!
[I-SIZE_BASE_027] Check the TAKATA MINI
I-SIZE is correctly secured to the TAKATA I-SIZE
BASE (PLUS), by gently shaking the TAKATA MINI
I-SIZE in each direction. If the TAKATA MINI I-SIZE

is not properly secured to the TAKATA I-SIZE BASE
(PLUS) , repeat Step 2 – Lock the seat into the
TAKATA I-SIZE BASE (PLUS) until it is in the
correct position.
Securing the TAKATA MIDI I-SIZE (PLUS) in a
backward-facing position [I-SIZE_BASE_028]
Step 1 – Check the TAKATA I-SIZE BASE (PLUS)
WARNING!
The TAKATA MIDI I-SIZE (PLUS) must only be
secured via the TAKATA I-SIZE BASE (PLUS). As
such, ensure that the TAKATA I-SIZE BASE (PLUS)
is attached fi rmly and correctly to the vehicle seat. If
you notice that the TAKATA I-SIZE BASE (PLUS)
can still be moved around, repeat all the steps in
Section 4 – Use in the vehicle (Securing the TAKATA
I-SIZE BASE (PLUS)).
WARNING!
[I-SIZE_BASE_024] Before installing the TAKATA
MIDI I-SIZE (PLUS) on the TAKATA I-SIZE BASE
(PLUS), check that both rear connection hooks of the
TAKATA I-SIZE BASE (PLUS) are open. The
connection hooks have been correctly unlocked if you
can see a red marking on the top of each release
element.
