Generally accepted accident preven-
tion regulations and the enclosed
safety instructions must be observed. If
you disregard any of the safety precau-
tions, you may place yourself and oth-
ers at risk.

The device may only be used if it is
in perfect condition and completely
installed. If the device or part of it is
defective, it must be taken out of
use and repaired or disposed of
properly.

Exercise caution and only work
when in a good condition: If you are
tired, ill, if you have ingested alco-
hol, medication or illegal drugs, do
not use the device as you are not in
a condition to operate it safely.
Risk of fatal injury as well as
risk of accidents for infants
and children!

Never leave children unattended
with the packaging material or the
product. There is risk of suffocation
due to packaging materials and
risk of fatal injury from choking.
Children often underestimate the
dangers. Always keep children
away from the product. The prod-
uct is not a toy.

ATTENTION! Do not leave chil-
dren unattended! The awning is
not a toy that can be climbed on!
•
RISK OF INJURY! Keep children
away from the work area during
installation and adjustment work.
•
Make sure that people, especially
children, do not pull themselves up
by the awning. The awning can fall
off. Injuries and/or property dam-
age can be the result.
•
Install the awning only with the help
of another person. The awning is
very heavy. Two people are
required when mounting the awn-
ing in the wall hooks. Do not try to
mount the awning by yourself. If
the awning falls off it can become
damaged and persons may be
seriously injured!
•
Make sure that there are no per-
sons or obstacles in the extension
and retraction range of the awning!
Otherwise, injury and damage may
result.
•
Do not reach into the moving parts
when extending and retracting the
awning. This can result in injuries.
•
Retract the awning during:
•
Wind
•
Rain (water pocket formation)
•
Snowfall (snow accumulation)
•
Absence
•
Thunderstorms (strong gusts
of wind, heavy rain)
•
Frost (freezing of the awning
cloth)
•
Use during winter weather condi-
tions can cause damage.
•
Check the awning for any damage
before each use. Never use your
awning if you notice any damage.
