bagels?
3. Is it possible to toast
only one side of the
bread?
4. Can I use the toaster to
reheat toasted bread?
5. Can I use the toaster to

(e.g. with cheese)?
6. Can I interrupt the
toasting process?
Solution
Check if the plug has been inserted into the wall socket correctly.
Check if the slice or slices of bread have been put in the toaster correctly and
whether there is enough bread in the toaster.
If the toaster still does not work, take it to a service centre authorised by Philips
for examination.
Remove the plug from the wall socket first and then carefully remove the slice(s)
from the toaster. Be careful, the metal surfaces are still hot.Take care not to
damage the heating elements while removing the slice(s) of bread. Never use a
metal object for this purpose.
Check the browning setting selected for toasting. Select a lower setting next time if
your toast is too dark and a higher setting if your toast is too light.
You have chosen a too high setting for the type of bread inserted. Push the STOP
button to stop the toasting process.
If the mains cord of this appliance is damaged, it must always be replaced by
Philips, a service centre authorised by Philips or similarly qualified persons in order
to avoid a hazard.
You have pressed the bagel button Ñ.That is why only one side of the bread has
been toasted. Put the bread in the slot with the untoasted side pointing towards
the central heating element and press the bagel button again (types HD2603 and
HD2602 only).
