Remember that during inclined cutting
the cutting depth shown on scale 19
does not correspond with actual values.
Cutting marks (see fig. 9)
• Cutting mark 12 shows saw blade 3 position during
vertical cutting (see fig. 9.1).
• Cutting mark 11 shows saw blade 3 position during
cutting at 45° angle (see fig. 9.2).
Make trial sawing to avoid errors.
Sawing (see fig. 10)
The efficiency and the quality of cutting
operations depends on the state and
the form of saw blade 3 teeth, there-
fore proper selection of saw blade is
extremely important depending on the material
being processed and the type of works being per-
formed.
• Make sure that the work piece is safely fixed face
down, because the quality of bottom cutting edge is
always better
• Switch on the power tool before saw blade 3 touch-
es the work piece Let saw blade 3 gain maximal rotat-
ing speed
• Smoothly move the power tool forward without
bending or pushing
• Never press the tool - sawing requires certain time
Extra pressure will overload the power tool rather than
facilitate the operation
• Use additional supports when cutting large sheets
(chipboards, etc) to avoid bending and possible saw
blade 3 blocking (see fig. 10).
Cutting with parallel guide (see fig. 11-12)
Parallel guide 23 enables cutting along existing direct
work piece edge, and producing equally wide stripes
[HKS12-59]
• Loosen fixing screw 21 (with help of screwdriver) of
parallel guide 23 (see fig. 11.1).
• Move parallel guide 23 to set a required work piece
width (see fig. 11.2).
• Tighten fixing screw 21 (with help of screwdriver) of
parallel guide 23 (see fig. 11.3).
The manufacturer reserves the possibility to introduce changes.
[HKS12-59, HKS21-79]
Similar results can be reached by
attaching a board to a work part with
screw clamps and using such board as
a secondary limit stop. Perform sawing
by moving power tool along the limit stop while
pressing the side of base plate 10 to the side of the
board (see fig. 12).
Before carrying out any works on the power tool it
must be disconnected from the mains.
Cleaning of the power tool
An indispensable condition for a safe long-term exploi-
tation of the power tool is to keep it clean Regularly
flush the power tool with compressed air thought the
ventilation slots 15
