machine is lowered to the workpiece.
Do not use saw blades made of high-speed steel.
Never use the miter saw to cut materials other than
those specified in the instruction manual.
The handle lock must always be engaged when
transporting the miter saw.
Only use the saw with guards in good working order
and properly maintained, and in position.
Only use saw blades which have been properly
sharpened. It is essential to adhere to the maximum
speed specified on the saw blade.
Refrain from removing any cut-offs or other parts of
the workpiece from the cutting area whilst the machine
is running and the saw head is not in the rest position.
Ensure that the machine is always stable and
secure.
Always support long workpieces while cutting to
minimize risk of blade pinching and kickback. Blade
may slip or slide while cutting long or heavy boards.
Do not use cracked or distorted saw blades.
The dust produced when using this tool may be
harmful to health. Use a dust absorption system and
wear a suitable dust protection mask. Remove deposited
dust thoroughly, for example with a dust extractor.
Stock having a round or irregular cross section
(such as firewood) must not be cut, as it cannot be
securely held during cutting. When sawing thin stock
layered on edge, a suitable auxiliary fence must be used
for firm support.
Never cut more than one piece at a time. Do not
stack more than one workpiece on the saw table at a
time.
Do not turn the motor switch on and off rapidly. This
could cause the saw blade to loosen and could create
a hazard. Should this ever occur, stand clear and allow
the saw blade to come to a complete stop. Disconnect
your saw from the power supply and securely retighten
the blade bolt.
UNPACKING
When unpacking, check to make sure that all
components are included. Refer to the drawings on this
manual. If any parts are missing or broken, please call
an IVT assistance center.

INITIAL OPERATION

Always use the correct supply voltage: the power supply
voltage must match the information quoted on the tool
identification plate.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Assembling the machine [F1]
If not using a stand, the saw should be mounted to a firm
supporting surface such as a workbench.
Mark the position of the mounting holes (9) on the
workbench.
Fasten the machine with suitable screw fasteners
to the working surface.
Tighten with four bolts securely.
Carefully check the workbench after mounting to
make sure that no movement can occur during use.
If any tipping, sliding, or walking is noted, secure
the workbench to the floor before operating.
Assembling the dust bag (15)
1.
Integrated dust extraction [F2]
The dust bag (15) fits over the dust extraction hole (14).
2.
External dust extraction
For dust extraction, a vacuum hose can also be
connected to the dust extraction hole (14). The vacuum
cleaner must be suitable for the material being worked.
When vacuuming dry dust that is especially detrimental
to health or carcinogenic, use a special vacuum
cleaner.
ADJUSTING INSTRUCTIONS
Adjusting the miter angle [F3]
CAUTION! Always be sure that the tool
is switched off and unplugged before
checking or adjusting functions on
the tool.
NOTE: before sawing, always tighten the miter
lock knob (19). The miter locking knob (19) is used
to lock the rotating miter table (11) at the required
miter angle. Otherwise the saw blade could become
jammed in the workpiece.
The horizontal miter angle can be set in the range from
45° (left side) to 45° (right side).
To adjust the miter angle:
1.
Loosen the miter locking knob (19) and set the
desired miter angle by rotating the miter table (11) to the
left or right, using the miter angle indicator (10) to select
the required miter angle.
2.
When the desired miter angle is set, tighten the
miter locking knob (19).
