Instructions for use
Description:
TEK-1 Vest is a phosphate-
bonded, graphite-free precisi-
on investment for TEK-1 one-
piece-casting and for partial
denture framework.
Casting models:
Measure the required amount
of investment and the correct
concentration of expansion li-
quid according to the mixing
ratio for casting models. Mix
manually for 20 sec. with a spa-
tula before vacuum mixing for
60 sec. Use small vibration for
pouring the contours. An in-
strument is useful for this.
Switch off the vibrator and
pour the rest of the model.
Use of pressure:
Investing under pressure is not necessary due to TEK-1 Vest's extremely homogenous grain distri-
bution. If investing under pressure is prefered, the pressure should be released after 8 - 10 minutes
so that it does not impede the setting expansion.
Concentration of the expansion liquid:
20 ml Liquid / 100 g powder

Mixing ratio:

(Depending on the laboratory, the specifications may vary individually.) The examples apply for sili-
cone duplications. Mixing ratio powder/liquid: 100 g powder : 20 ml liquid.
By the TEK-1 one-piece-casting we recommend a two-stage investment: For telescopes, depending
on the friction 65 % - 75 %. After that the model gets effused with a liquid concentration of 55 %
by using the wet method.

For the framework with clasps we recommend a liquid concentration of 60 % - 70 % and for fixed/
removable work 60 %.
By fixed-removable work we recommend 70 % - 80 % liquid concentration according to the size
and the expansion of the jaw. By Galvano tertiar framework we recommend to manufacture the
two-stage investment by using 100 % liquid concentration for the frame and 55 % for the model.
