Removing the duplicate model:
Carefully remove the investment model after approx. 30 min. Start waxing up once the model is
cool enough to handle and the wax is no longer liable to melt.
Investing:
Measure and mix TEK-1 Vest as described above. For the investing use the same liquid concentra-
tion as for the model. A small reduction can optimize the adhesion between model and investing.
Pour with minimum vibration until the pattern is completely covered. Switch off the vibrator, fill
the ring and do not vibrate again. Moulds intended for speed casting should be placed on a very
damp cloth so that the dehydrated model regains some moisture and achieves a better bond with
the investment in the mould.
Speed casting:
Exact 25 minutes after investing, place the mould with the sprue hole pointing downwards in a
furnace preheated to the correct temperature (900 - 1.000 °C). We recommend a maximum prehe-
ating temperature of 900 °C. This temperature is perfectly adequate for both casting the mould
and final thermal expansion. Moulds are ready to cast approx. 60 min. after the final temperature
is reached. During the first 30 min. after inserting the moulds, the furnace fan and extractor should
remain switched off and the furnace door should not be opened because of the risk of instant
combustion.
Conventional preheating:
Place the mould into the cold furnace after 25 minutes.

Maximum end temperature: 1.050 °C when investing overnight the expansion is by 5 % larger. This
should be considered when deciding about the liquid concentration.
