Never start the engine while the battery is
charging.
Check the battery charger before use,
including the power cord and cables. If the
battery charger is damaged, it must not be
used.
Any damaged power cord or defective
cables must be replaced at an authorised
workshop.
The battery charger must be kept out of
reach of unauthorised persons, particularly
children. This also applies during use.
Avoid battery leakage. Leaking battery acid
from the battery that comes into contact
with the battery charger may cause a short
circuit and electric shock.

Preparations before use
Read the instructions from the battery
manufacturer concerning charging the
battery and follow them.
Note! If you intend to charge a so-called
"wet" lead acid battery, you rst need to
check the electrolyte level and top up the
distilled water according to the battery
instructions, if the level is too low.
First select the correct voltage rating for the
battery to be charged using the "12V/24V"
switch.
Then select the charging current strength
using the "MIN/BOOST" switch. If you select
the "MIN" setting, a lower current is sent
to the battery charger's terminals; this is
recommended for completely at batteries,
for example, batteries that have been
stored for long periods without charging,
or batteries whose voltage at the battery
terminals is lower than 9 V for 12 V batteries.
