GETTING STARTED
Test the components:
•
Test your Motor, Power Cord, and Solar Panel
before building the models.
•
Position the Solar Panel under your light source.
•
Add any Connector to the end of the Motor Shaft.
•
Look to see if the Motor Shaft (and Connector)
is spinning.
•
Try using direct, bright sunlight also. But remember
never to look directly at the sun.
REMINDER: Too much heat from the incandescent bulb will damage your Solar
Panel. Be sure to keep it 5.1 in. (12.9 cm) away from the light bulb.

1. Plug the Power Cord fully
into the Motor Jack matching
the polarity on the Plug and
Jacks.
2. Plug the other end of the
Power Cord into the Solar
Panel. You can plug into
either Jack 1 or 2.
Note the shape and polarity of
the plug to ensure that you have
inserted the plug correctly into
the Solar Panel. Power Cord
plugs need to be fully plugged
into Jacks.

BUILDING
BASICS
Start Building
To begin your model, find the
1
and follow the numbers. Each piece
has its own shape and color. Just
look at the pictures, find the pieces
in your set that match and then
connect them together.
Try to face your model in the same
direction as the instructions while
you build. The arrows show you
where the parts connect, but not
all connection points have arrows.
Faded colors show you this section
is already built.
Connectors
You can slide these special connectors
together. Push tightly until you hear
a "click". Pay close attention to the
instructions and position them
horizontally or vertically exactly
as they are shown.
